PROJECT LOCATIONS

The project (NPIWC-II) initially designed to cover complete Pakistan. However, the Sindh Government shows its inability to participate in the project due to a financial crunch. Therefore, the project will be implemented in Punjab, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, ICT, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

  • 70% area of Pakistan is arid or semi-arid
  • The agriculture sector grew by 2.67%  from 2019 to 2020)
  • The rate of crops increased significantly from -4.96%to 2.98% from 2018 to 2020.
  • 27.6 million hectares area of Pakistan is cultivated
  • About 19.3% of Pakistan GDP comes from agriculture
